Marine Engine Drivers - MED1

To keep up with the company's expanding operations, we are seeking self-motivated and experienced MED1s to fill positions on our fleet of 30-metre high-speed catamarans, including our brand new Fantome Cat. 

Sunferries operates 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, including weekends, public holidays and school holidays.  Rosters are generally 3-4 days on, 2-3 days off, with some overtime available for earning extra $$$.  Candidates must be able to work a variety of shifts, including early starts at 5am and late finishes at 2am.  Due to the timing of shifts, it is preferred that candidates have their own means of transport to get themselves to work on time. 

Essential Criteria:

• Unrestricted MED1 (current)
• Minimum 6 months previous employment as qualified MED1
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience in the Tourism Industry
• Experience with high speed cats
• Mechanically-minded
• Experience with Caterpillar engines (MED1s)
