	Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week 3 - 7 September 2010 Bringing together the excitement of competitive sailing and the ambiance of Magnetic Island each September, Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week offers an experience to remember. With top notch racing, a spectator boat for the patrons, live bands and partying galore, the program of events is sure to leave you wanting more year after year. 	Great Tropical Jazz Party - September The Great Tropical Jazz Party is the annual event organised by the Magnetic Jazz Association Inc, held on glorious Magnetic Island each September. The jazz festival is the signature music and entertainment event on the island, attracting visitors and jazz aficionados from all over the world to the intimate, tropical setting. The event boasts 40 top quality local, national and international musicians playing mainstream through to contemporary jazz. The festival is held over three nights and two days of cool jazz, poolside beneath the palms at the All Seasons Magnetic Island Resort (formerly the Magnetic International Resort). 	Full Moon Party - monthly Since its beginning in 2004 the Full Moon Party has become Australia's answer to Koh Pha Ngan. Staged monthly in the beautiful settings of Base Backpackers' beach side location, the event has attracted some huge music acts including Krafty Kuts, Mark Dynamix, Benny Benassi, Martin Solveig, Hed Kandi, TV Rock and Potbelleez to name a few.
