Offshore Superboat Championships
Book your waterfront seat early!

Sunday 4th July will see the best of the best hit it out for podium positions in the Townsville leg of the Offshore Superboat Championship Series and Sunferries will be out on the water to catch the action.

The Sunferries Spectator Boat will depart at 10.00am and return back at 2.00pm giving spectators four hours out on the water and the best seats available.  Tickets are only $50 and include a light lunch, commentary from a member of the racing fraternity, onboard entertainment between races and a licensed bar available.

World Ocean's Day has it all!

On Sunday 6 June, Magnetic Island will celebrate Rotary World Ocean's Day (Tuesday 8 June). This worldwide project connects 85 countries that are focussed on protecting, as well as celebrating our world's oceans.  The line up of activities taking place all across Magnetic Island this Sunday is one not to be missed.  Check out the program below and yes you read right - there will be an attempt at a record for the largest number of nude snorkelers at one time.

It will be a great day of celebration with lots of prizes and fun for everyone!

Ash Grunwald headlines World Ocean's Day - This Sunday

Dynamic blues artist Ash Grunwald will be part of the massive Magnetic Island Rotary World Oceans Day on Sunday 6 June at Base Backpackers Magnetic Island. Featuring tracks from his latest release 'Fish Out Of Water', Grunwald is a soulful bluesman in the most pure sense and will be supported by local bands 'Sara Shaw Quartet' and 'Tailor Made'. It's promising to be one of the biggest events this year on Maggie.  Not to be missed!
